Live Nude Homebrews!

"Live, Nude" is a musical reference, folks. It's not salacious.

And remember, it's OK to do anything that you want nude, other than cooking bacon. Trust me on that one.

Before Eberron was released, I was working on what i thought was an unique homebrew- Jenner's World.

High level Mage / Psion that uses an artifact to boost his dimension building power/spells. Each of his teammates could add to his "world". The world was to be very adventure based.

The bad news is, his worst enemy learned of it and when left unattended, he mettled with the artifact and put in his own thoughts. Thus evil and harm was introduced.

Things there-

Golem large town well known for the golem construction and sentinent guardians. Basically what is now known as Warforged.

Forest run by werewolves that were rangers, druids and barbarians. Basically Eldeen reaches with Shifters.

Moradin Dwarven city built from a solid rock volcanic core. Near impossible to enter or attack. Still not in Eberron stay away Keith!

City of floating towers. Sharn is just too close to this....

Island nation of Dragons ....argennessen......

What I am getting at is- what ever you create to be unique in a homebrew will be done eventually. Some just get 100,000 for it.

Another favorite idea is humans having been bred into various forms for specific purposes (not unlike dogs) in the Dark Heritage setting, by J-Dawg.

Speaking of, does Joshie still have the world-building articles he used up, or is it just pure Dark Heritage info now? I'd really love to find those world-building articles (I think they were .docs someone transcribed from Dragon). Anyone wanna help a brother out?

EDIT: http://www.darkshire.net/~jhkim/rpg/dnd/dungeoncraft/ Found it!

Anyone else have favorite homebrew flavors? Valkyries are circling. Is the thread destined for the hall of the slain, to fight and feast forevermore, awaiting forumageddon? Or Hel, to freeze amongst spectres and shadows?

I suspect the latter.

Keeping to the real topic here (but still crackin' a smile :P)...

I forget who said it, but they were decribing their homebrew and how it was really different than core, and it was so cool, IMO. In the southern wastes of seemingly endless deserts, there is a great empire of orcish necromancers, who have great legions of thirstless undead at their command and whom bind demons to their will to fight alongside or as generals. They rule this empty land with an iron fist, and are looking to the more temperate areas for land.

I'm sure I'll have mroe too :)

So a bunch of Undead rule a desert wasteland? Personally, I'd let them. Better than ruling a large civilization of living people. ;)

But seriously? 'They rule this empty land with an iron first?' Doesn't that only work if you rule over others? I don't know about this... Only good thing was that they don't have to worry about the effects of the desert, same reason in my world, one of the first places they were attempting to conquer was the frozen wasteland. :)

Of course I have an area with Undead. They are at constant war with this one nation. However, the entire nation is kinda brimming with negative energy [sort of picture a radioactive nation] and this negative energy has modified some of these people to have a slightly more crude and undead appearance [think deformities such as those in BoVD, but unwilling instead of self-inflicted].
