They don't really have many spells that can't be used directly in combat... it really is a big focus of the spells now... hopefully in the future books some other useful utility spells will be introduced.

I think you are going to see more rituals instead of more spells. utilities are more or less restricted to an instant effect (or 5 min if it's a daily). Something like modify memory with a lasting effect would definitely be a ritual.

I've been spending quite a long time now reviewing Mri'Thas (PC of Voda Vosa), making plenty of minor corrections until I've finally found cause for a good deal of them: The ability scores in the summary and math sections differ.

Voda Vosa, since the effects of differing ability scores trickle down throughout your sheet, you'll have to resolve it before review can continue.

I used this character generator for the basic character. Javascript Dungeons and Dragons 4th Edition Character Generator

The only thing you have to do different is use the simple entry method since we use 25 instead of the standard 22. I just used the 22 point buy until the counter said 25 points spent , copied down the scores and re-entered with simple entry. The nice thing is that the character sheet it generates has a full math section. I just copy/pasted after that.

Good question. We'll need to set it up so that incoming approval requests get forwarded to you too. In the meantime, comparing my inbox with the approved character category, I get that the following characters need at least one more approval still:
  • Mri'Thas
  • Palindrome
  • Rurdev
  • Ts'iri
  • Woe Chinua
  • Tander Oaksmith
  • Brudd Brassback

Obviously you don't get to approve your own character. :) It's possible that I missed one or two, but that's at least a good starting place for investigation.
So, this is how it looks to me:

Mri'Thas: Fundamental problem with character has halted review.
Palindrome: Approved.
Rurdev: Appears to have been approved by Halford and Graf, though character status has not been changed to reflect this?
Ts'iri: Seems like its been approved but then the approval rejected?
Woe: Approved by Halford and Graf.
Tander: Same as with Ts'iri.
Brudd: Same as with Ts'iri and Tander.

I'm not sure how to proceed at the moment...

Hey Dunamin,
From what I can see Brudd, Ts'iri, and Tander just need one more approval to be approved.

I am not sure whats going on with Rurdev since it looks like a second person has sort of approved him, but there is no name, etc., maybe somebody is in the middle of doing so?

And it is not correc to say that Palindrome is approved, which you may not have meant its confusing, but rather that you have approved him, or that he has 1 approval. It requires two approvals to be approved.

Thats actually a little confusing, maybe we should use a different wording. Perhaps a judge could pass a character and it would require two passes for a character to be approved?
