Green Knight
First Post
Just thought I'd get the opinions of those familiar with Greyhawk, and hopefully of those who've played Living Greyhawk games in both regions. I ask because I'll soon be moving from Florida to North Carolina, and I only just now realized that that means my days of playing in the Principality of Ulek are over (Although I won't have to worry about filling out TU's to organizations or anything like that. I could never stick with any character for long, so in that regard, it's no problem).
So what say you folks? I've always been fond of the Principality of Ulek for numerous reasons. For one, it's dwarf dominated, rather then dominated by humans. Secondly, I like the whole bit with the Pomarj and Turrosh Mak threat. Gave the whole thing a foreboding sense, with the PoU not doing particularly well against them, and the threat of defeat being very real.
The Gran March, though? You may as well ask me what the deal is with The Republic of Nowheresville. I don't know jack about the Gran March. Yeah, I read the entry in the Living Greyhawk Gazetteer (Well, more skimmed), and I didn't get much of anything out of it. Then again, the PoU entry is pretty lifeless, too, in comparison to what it actually is. So can anyone fill me in on current happenings in the Gran March, who're the threats to it, etc? Preferably Living Greyhawk info (I'd look, myself, but I'm in a bit of a rush, today, sorry). And if anyone's playing Living Greyhawk games in both, then I'd appreciate hearing your experiences.
Hopefully the Gran March is half as interesting as the PoU has been to me (And with any luck, it'll be as much more interesting). But if not, well ... I WAS planning on making the occasional trip to visit my brother during a weekend, who'll still be in Miami. Maybe I could schedule those trips to coincide with Living Greyhawk games being held at a local game store? :\
