LN vs. N: Lawful Neutral Victorious!

(Since it's technically Friday now and the mimic's actions are pretty much predefined...)

An amorphous mass of flesh rolls into the battlefield in the shape of a giant donut. The guards stationed just outside the arena lick their lips in delight, with one muttering, "Hmm...donut." Homer the mimic rolls over to the puma at 55N110E and hits with two pseudopods that extend out of the periphery of the fluffy toroid.

OOC: Um, can a Large creature 5ft-step into the arena? If they can't then it seems like an awful disadvantage. The best hope for the mimic is to get the puma in a grapple, kill it and then hope he dodges the spectator for five rounds (total defense).

Round 247

The mimic can take a 5 foot step if it squeezes. This time it moves to 55N110E and swings one pseudopod. Miss! (Rolled 15)

The puma hits with a claw and bite for 13 total. The mimic has 39 hp left. The puma grabs on with the bite, falling into the mimic's trap! :]

Vader watches with glee.

Round 248: Mimic fails to crush, puma bites and rakes for 15. Mimic has 24 hp left.

Round 249: Mimic crushes for 11, puma bites and claws for 19. Mimic 5 hp, puma 27 hp.

Round 250: Mimic fails to crush, puma bites for 8.

Round 251: Mimic is defeated and is teleported away.

Next up for N: a rhinoceros. (MM)

The rhino goes first in round 251.

A black rhinoceros, covered in bits of dust and dirt, charges into the arena all of ten feet to drive its horn into the underbelly of the dire puma. The rhino is huge, standing 5 feet at the shoulder, 10 feet long, and weighing over 5,000 pounds. It snorts* in anger, and the oxpeckers on its back lift off momentarily as the rhino attacks the cougar.

* Translated by the universal translator as "Here, kitty, kitty!"

Round 251

The rhino slams into the puma! (Rolled 27) 42 points of damage! Puma goes bye-bye and rhino enters the Hall of Fame! :)

Vader cackles with glee, rotates up, and fires a ray. The rhino charges into it! (Rolled 8 touch)

The rhino hears thoughts - Force, yada yada, free food, yada yada, join ME, yada yada.

He's not convinced. (Rolled 22 Will save)

As the oxpeckers settle themselves back atop the rhino's back, the rhinoceros turns towards the floating eyeball-thing. It snorts in derision, stamps a hoof, and then charges toward it, leaping up to pop Vader like a balloon.

OOC: Vader is at 65N70E20Z. Easy enough to charge from 55N110E. I'll let you work out the details of the jump. ;)

Round 252

The two-ton behemoth doesn't get more than 2 feet off the ground.

Vader rotates to normal position, flies up 5 feet, and fires the same ray directly down.

Hit! (Rolled 10 touch) Empire, yada yada, more free food, yada yada, join ME, yada yada.

This one is very stubborn! (Rolled natural 20 Will save)

Rhinestone will run across the battlefield to 0N0E, then to 0N110E, and around the horn (no pun intended), hoping for a draw and getting rid of this stupid eyeball-thing. Like a rhino can hope!

Alas, that was the rhino's plan, but he's ordered out of the arena to make way for someone who can deal with the eyeball and not get kill by a frickin' charging rhino turned to the dark side.

Round 253

As the rhino runs away, Vader screams "Nooooooooo!"

Next up for N: an unbodied. (Expanded Psionics Handbook)

The unbodied goes first in round 253.

A disembodied brain the size of a doberman, but composed of pure white light floats imperiously into the arena to 65N110E15Z. It speaks telepathically to the floating eyeball, it's thoughts transmitted magically to those watching intently at the Shearing Pen. Impressive, most impressive. You've learned much, Lord Vader, but you are not a master yet. Brainiac then targets Vader with a telekinetic force, moving him straight East, hopefully out of the arena.

OOC: If Brainiac is targeted by the charm monster ray and the ray actually hits (remember the incorporeality), he will use empty mind as an immediate action.

The force seems to work only on objects. Vader doesn't have any jewelry that Brainiac could use to tug him out of the arena.
