Agreed, although the books do a bit better job portraying them. Main point being once you hit your early 20’s, you can no longer sense (or even see) most ghosts. So intense fear in the adult population runs constantly as an undercurrent. The series hints at this when showing all the newspapers the passengers on the train are reading.I really enjoyed the show, but . . . that YA trope of all adults being useless and/or actively antagonistic . . . drove me nuts. Only thing I didn't like. I do hope it gets another season.
