Lodging prices

Last year the guy who was supposed to reserve our room forgot, so we ended up spending something like $400 per night because we couldn't get the convention rate.

What's the typical convention rate for Gen Con rooms? In particular if you stayed at the Marriott or JW Marriott, since I liked both of those places.

Don't forget to add the 17% hotel tax to those prices mentioned at the bottom - that can be a nasty hidden charge!
