In the elevators in my office building, they have these lcd screens where you get the weather, some news, random trivia, etc. (this way nobody has to stare at the doors or floor indicator). In the bottom 1/4 or so of these 7" screens they display ad space.

Somebody actually paid for an ad for the "where is my gnome?" site on those things!

The first time I saw it (about a week and a half ago), I immediately thought of alsih2o and EN World!

Just saw a TV commercial for Travelocity. It was all about the travels of a gnome. I wonder if the two things are related???

Only caught part of the commercial, but it was a gnome reporting on the great travelling he did that he booked through travelocity. There's a couple of funny shots of him (the garden gnome) skiing, and one blurry fast-motion type shot (that you can't really see anything on) with the voice over saying "and this is me on the luge."
