Well, I haven't used it in my campaings lately, but I've always portrayed it as a ranching town, ie lots of cattle, sheep, horses being bought and sold there. Throw in a few American Old West-style conflicts, and there ya go....

I have used it several times it has a very powerful and odd family of mages the Harpells. They are well meaning, but are a bit absent minded which doesn't help with magic.
There are a few that are legitimate, one is a very close associate of the Blackstaff.
