Ok, I really want to play a shapeshifter. Something along the lines of Frank Herbert's Face Dancers. Someone who can alter his shape to whatever humanoid appearance he wishes (even if it means a disguise roll).
Does anyone know of a race or class that does that? I'd prefer a race, as I want to play an illusionist on top of it. There was a changeling race in Dragon 304, but that isnt good enough for me. That changeling simply gets a +2 to disguise, he doesn't really change any.
I was thinking of revamping the druid class. I could change the wildshape ability to humanoid forms, and change the spell list to mostly illusions, but I'd have to get a prospective GM to approve it. Its a lot easier if I can point to a book and let them read it.
