Looking for a feat for a lich

First Post
I am preparing a 9th level cleric lich of Mystra, human LG. (13th level after adjustment from lich.) Originally from Netheril, with lots of craft feats plus Leadership and the one I can't find. I plan on playing it as an undead, clerical version of Elminster. She would be higher level if so many magical items floating around the Anauroch desert and surrounding regions.

I am looking for a the feat that allows CHA modifier to substutie for CON modifer for hit points. I have looking in Libris Mortis, Magic of Faerun, Monsters of Faerun, MM, MMII, MMIII, and Fiend Folio. Anyone have any idea of where it is?

As far as i know there is no such feat.

There is unholy toughness which does that which is a special quality found in both mm3 and libris mortis.
and there is mind over body from players guide to faerun which is a feat and says you can use your int or cha instead of your con for hitpoints but only at first lvl, gives you 1 more hitpoints for every metamagic feat and grants you +1 ac if you cast arcane spells.

Hope this helps

if you are an undead doesn't this mean that your hit die is d12 and you don't have a constitution score?

there is a special quality of the dry lich template (sandstorm page 157) called unholy toughness that does what you want

and beauty's bounty Fey Feature: Life in a Noble House that replaces con only at the first level.

I's something like Unholy Might or Unholy Toughness. And if you can't find it, reinvent it for yourself.

Technically, you could qualify for Improved Toughness and get +1 hp per HD.

You could also take Minor Shapeshift if you have a polymorph spell of at least 4th level prepared.

Not using the dry lich. Level limit of 13 would not allow for it plus the Lich WILL be LG, a barred aliment for the dry lich.

The fey feats also will not be used, the lich is Human.

Yes I am aware of the Improved Toughness feat, just trying to find something better than it.

Mind over Body, the character concept has many Magic Craft feats build in to it but not any metamagic feats. So, no to this one also.

Polymorph, the DM is threading to remove the lich immunity to polymorph if it is not total (ie polymorph cannot be cast on self by self as RAW allows).

Yes undead use d12. That 9d12 =~ 64 hit points vers 9d8 -1 level =~35. One of the other players is threatening a lay on hands heal of 78 - 104 hp. Annoying Prestige Paladin of Sune. (The Prestige Paladin is from Unearth Arcana, it allows a cleric with the correct feats/skills to gain paladin abilities and spells.)

Thanks for looking for me.

The reason you can't find the feat is that it isn't a feat. Unholy Toughness is an extraordinary special quality possessed by certain undead in MMIII, as per the Boneclaw.

I wouldn't see it as being too much of a stretch to persuade your DM to let you have it as a feat, or possibly just add it to your template (probably in exchange for another +1 LA).

Of course, an even better option is to persuade the player of the annoying Paladin to stop being a douchebag; you're Lawful Good, what's his damn problem anyway?

Have you checked out the Deathless creature type from Book of Exalted Deeds? Combine with the Lich template to come up with an undead type that's normally Good-aligned and that fits much better with most parties: including the fact that it's healed by positive energy. It retains most of the usual undead immunities but shouldn't push a Paladin's buttons.

Alternatively, there was a "Good Lich" template concocted that you can find on the GiantITP forums HERE, although I still reckon you'd be better off persuading your DM to let you play a Deathless lich.

Alignment between the 2 PC is an issue.

The Forgotten Realms goddess allows CG paladins of freedom (from UA).

And the group refers to the Book of Exalted Deeds as the Book of Exalted Cheese, it stinks.

The homebrew template you linked to is similar to the Archlich from the Mosters of Faerun book but with a listed LA. The Archlich gives extra powers to the lich template but not the new LA it should have. It adds to lich
1) Immunity to turn but can still be rebuked.
2) Can turn undead as a cleric.
3) Can suppress the lich fear aura.

Wouldn't the cleric have to have a caster level higher then 11 to become a Lich?

The Lich’s Phylactery
An integral part of becoming a lich is creating a magic phylactery in which the character stores its life force. As a rule, the only way to get rid of a lich for sure is to destroy its phylactery. Unless its phylactery is located and destroyed, a lich reappears 1d10 days after its apparent death.

Each lich must make its own phylactery, which requires the Craft Wondrous Item feat. The character must be able to cast spells and have a caster level of 11th or higher. The phylactery costs 120,000 gp and 4,800 XP to create and has a caster level equal to that of its creator at the time of creation.

The most common form of phylactery is a sealed metal box containing strips of parchment on which magical phrases have been transcribed. The box is Tiny and has 40 hit points, hardness 20, and a break DC of 40.

Other forms of phylacteries can exist, such as rings, amulets, or similar items.
