I doubt you will find much.
Most companies want to earn money, and if they already have the base rule frame work und setting, they can earn more if they can split it up into more than just one book.
Yeah. Although I always think it's a bit tacky when a company refers to future products in the main book.
Still, Wheel of Time is pretty much stand alone. As is Star Wars. Star Wars is sorta Shadowrun-ish. You have cyber, you have magic (more or less), you have orks (kinda, the Gamoreans)
