You can play either Shadowrun or In Nomine with just the main rule book. All the other books are optional - just good to have.

I doubt you will find much.
Most companies want to earn money, and if they already have the base rule frame work und setting, they can earn more if they can split it up into more than just one book.

Yeah. Although I always think it's a bit tacky when a company refers to future products in the main book.


Still, Wheel of Time is pretty much stand alone. As is Star Wars. Star Wars is sorta Shadowrun-ish. You have cyber, you have magic (more or less), you have orks (kinda, the Gamoreans)

Sure, you could get into the Tenchi Muyo suppliments, but why? All you need is the second edition core book & run wild.

Very true a nice all around book for the GM who needs little in rules and wants to be able to do anything with his game...
