Shadowrun Anarchy 2.0 is up on KS

I saw elsewhere to look at their other KSers and no free PDFs is par for the course for them, it seems. So, I don't expect them to change anything.

I keep flip flopping. $35 for just a PDF is highway robbery, so maybe just the print version? Then again that's $80 after shipping and the core will sale for $60 at my FLGS. So 20 extra for the GM screen that ill rarely use. Ugh IDK

I'm not entirely against PDFs being priced higher. All the development behind the game was done just the same as with a print version. I definitely have a mental block when I see prices like that, but I'm not against it. What I don't agree with is when the PDF is not included with the print version. That literally cost nothing. Or at least keep the additional price really low. If it's 5-10$ higher to get an PDF in addition to the print version, I could understand that.

I honestly do

i believe the new book is less of ages than SRA1 which cost $20 for the PDF. Though, that was years ago and prices only go up

Part of the weirdness may be due to Blackbook Editions being far better known as a publisher that localizes products into French. They have an impressive resume for that, having localized some high profile products. They evel localized a TTRPG book (Interface Zero 2.0) that I was a setting writer for. I'm not fluent enough in French to get a sense of how good a job they did.

So I'm guessing their business model is more based around recouping costs on localized, 3rd party TTRPGs. As well, the TTRPG market in France is probably their most important. So maybe the whole Bits & Mortar approach isn't really an aspect of that market.
