looking for a miniature

Nilbog

Snotling Herder
Sorry if this is in the wrong section, I couldn't see a miniatures forum.

I'm looking for a miniature for my character in a new campaign and what I thought would be quite easy to find is proving very tricky!

I'm looking for a human in plate armour, wearing a wolf pelt cloak with a (preferably a two handed) sword, I've tried Reaper and Games Workshop, but sadly no joy :( any suggestions?

Been buying minis since 1977- I can't say I've EVER seen a mini that combined plate armor with a furry pelt of any kind. (I have that second mini- it doesn't look like plate to me...)

However, if there is one, I bet the folks at CoolMiniOrNot - The Internet's largest gallery of Painted Miniatures and Miniature Painting art would know of it's existence.

Thanks for all the heads up guys, some really cool minis there.
I think you are right Danny, it looks a very rare combo. I seem to remember in the distant past, GW did a range of white wolf knights for the empire army range that fit the bill, however I think they were all on horseback :(

One that caught my eye was the following:
Reaper Miniatures :: OnlineStore
its not a wolf pelt and I'm not overly keen on all the skulls but its not too bad

I'm glad someone else started a topic on looking for specific miniatures. While my GURPS GM does have a mini that is okay for my character, I'd prefer one of my own. There are many game shops in Ann Arbor I can go to and conduct my search. Generally, I just want a metal, unpainted mini that looks kind of close to my character. Part of the fun of minis, to me, is painting them myself.

If I wanted to be silly, I could use my Anubi Hero (War Gods of Aegyptus) mini, to represent my character's connection with nonhuman animals. Given that my group is rather neutral about furries, a human-dog shaped mini would probably get a little bit of teasing in good nature. Though it may not fit with the man vs. beast vibe we have going on, though most of those "beasts" are insects of unusual size.

Come Sherman, let's jump into the Wayback Machine!

Julie Guthrie, from back in the eighties. Now made by Mega Minis.

Scale is a trifle small by today's standards, but decent next to DDM figures.

I'll keep looking - but I know that the plastic Empire Knights figures from GW do have some separate wolf pelts. If you know somebody who plays The Empire in WH Fantasy, and has knights then there is a good chance that they have a spare pelt or two.

The Auld Grump

*EDIT*
The Warstore - two cloaks, one a wolf pelt, $2.49+ shipping.

And a Handy dandy widget for making fur, ummm... things.

Squish a blob of green stuff onto it, in the shape you want and *Poof* *Splat!* you have a cloak!
