looking for a module

I'm looking for suggestions for a stand-alone module for 8th level characters (not ongoing like RTTOEE, etc.). Ideally, something that would last more than a single evening but could be finished within 4 or 5 sessions. Standard PHB classes & races for the characters, party of 3 or 4 players. Any ideas? Thanks.

You might try some of the "Free Original Adventures" on the official D&D web site. According to my notes, the ones titled "Eye for an Eye" and "Fang, Beak, and Claw" are suitable for 8th level PCs.

The Standing Stone isn't HORRIBLE, it's just very railroaded. If you felt like cleaning up some of the messier bits, it wouldn't be that bad.

Hmm...there's the Banewarrens, which I think is designed for levels 6-10, but it might be a little long for your tastes. Not quite RTToEE length, but it's pretty big.

Hmm...I'm drawing a blank on modules for that level

Hmm... Well, I've heard good things about the Ebon Mirror, and understand it's adjustable for the party's class. It's by Keith Baker (sp), one of the finalists in the WotC setting search.

You could also beef up the critters in Tomb of Abysthor, and even force players into the deadlier parts of the dungeon (heheh).
