Looking for a new adventure!

Hi,

My party of 6 level 9-10 characters (we're playing D&D3.5 and have access to almost all supplements) have just finished Monte Cook's The Banewarrens. In general I was extremely satisfied with the module, and so were my players. We're now looking for a new adventure to set out on. It would be great if anyone here had some suggestions. The things I'd like are:

1) Adventures that pose a difficult challenge for the party. As such, adventures with a level criteria a bit too high for the party are alright too :)

2) Adventures that include other stuff than hack n' slash dungeoncrawling.

3) Preferably "mega-adventures" that span a few levels and have decent production values.

Setting and such does not matter - I can refit it to my campaign easily. Any suggestions? I've given City of the Spider Queen some looks, but it seems a bit light on the role-playing aspects. If there is nothing better though that's probably what we'll end up with.

Thanks in advance :)

Hey there!
I've been running Expedition to the Demonweb Pits with my players for the last month and we're having a blast!
It's a 9th-12th adventure that can be VERY challenging depending on how your players are. There ARE some minor errors in the book and if the party wanders around unprepared they could easily all die.
The adventure starts in the material plane and sends the PCs to Sigil, the city of Doors; Yggdrassil, the world tree; The Beastlands; The frozen wastes; the demon city Zelatar; and of course, the Demonweb!!!

My players are running a Reformed Drow Warlock, a half-elven Fighter; a dwarven cleric with an attitude; a half-orc rogue that loves his enemies and hates his friends; and an NPC paladin (created by me) that is slowly regaining his powers by serving the party.

The group has a tough time without a dedicated spellcaster but really makes up for it with creative uses for invocations and the use magic device skill. The party hired a Jaunter (a prestige class based around teleportation: included in the book) and seem to be doing allright. They have only had two deaths so far and that was due to poor preperation and really bad luck.

Overall the campaign is running great and giving me enough time to write my 12th level campaign revolving around preventing the resurrection of the Jabberwocky (a dragon in my campaign) as a Dracolich.

Hope this was helpful :D

I've heard that Expedition to the Demonweb Pits is good.

Thanks, I'll look into it!

Thanks, it was! I will definetely give Expedition to the Demonweb Pits a look. "My" party consist of a an Archivist, a Crusader, a Swordsage/Rogue, a Dragonfire Adept, a Cerebremancer (Wu-Jen/Psion) and a Paladin of Ilmater (who just sacrificed himself to close off The Banewarrens once and for all).

Especially the Dragonfire Adept is bonkers, his slowing/blinding permaclouds only affecting enemies and his damage output is pretty good. He more than makes up for the lack of a dedicated arcanist (the cerebremancer being the closest thing). All in all, they were very successful in The Banewarrens, sustaining only 1 permanent death besides the sacrificed Paladin (they had to use raise dead on the Swordsage/Rogue once).

On the role-playing side of things, they are now debating intensely what to do with The Sword of Lies/Truth they found in the Banewarrens (i.e. which faction to give it to).

Once they've done this, the next adventure will being :)

Leafing through Expedition to the Demonweb Pits right now. Many thanks to those who mentioned it, it seems pretty awesome and should be easily convertable to Mulhorand!
