It's not the Trojan War, but along those same lines I highly recommend Steven Pressfield's Gates of Fire . Billed as "An epic novel of the Battle of Thermopylae.

I liked his Tides of War too, but not quite as much. And now I see he has an Alexander the Great novel coming out in October, The Virtues of War. I'm looking forward to that.

Gates of Fire by Pressfield was fantastic! I've recommended it to all my friends (with little success, the fools!).
