While i do love Chessex and to a lesser extent Kaplow dice for me my all time favourites have to be Gamescience 'gem' dice. These have sharp edges and are clear. I have had one of their d20's for over 2 1/2 decades and it still looks brand new (it was the first die I ever bought for D&D). The advancing Hordes website linked to above has a very nice selection of gem dice.

I followed the link to Advancing Hordes and checked out the Gamescience dice. They do like nice, the edges seem sharp and not so rounded. They're a bit more pricey though....hmmm. Thanks for the info.

I just thought of one more thing as I was staring at my pile of 16mm d6 dice. Buy the SMALLER dice! I regret every time I cast fireball that I didn't buy the 12mm d6 dice.

I am working on a collection of tiny (4mm?) d6's that come with that pirate ship game, but I only have 2 so far. Anyone know where I can buy some of those? I really only want a dozen and I don't think I like the boat game enough to want to buy 10 more packs.

Am I the only one that likes piped d6's for character generation? Any good recommendations for those, especially in different colors/styles? I have seen them in blocks of 10, but I don't think I need 10 d6's right now.
