Looking for a unique setting

I'm still a big fan of Freeport and Redhurst. Freeport has a lot of support, between the republished original trilogy (which is now more than three adventures), Hell in Freeport, Black Sails Over Freeport, the forthcoming Crisis in Freeport, the DCC module (and Bloody Jack's Gold, which also fits in well) and several PDF adventures, not to mention actually adding in other island/pirate adventures to the setting (like Maiden Voyage).

Freeport is part of the world of Arcanis with a number of modules written in Freeport. My Coryani legionaire will NEVER return to Freeport, that villanous hive of scum and thieves.

Kingdoms of Kalamar is a solid fantasy setting, though there's not a lot that makes it stand out from the "generic fantasy" mold, at least in my mind. It's always seemed to me like Greyhawk with a different map.

Well, many Greyhawk players have transferred over to the lands of Tellene. Maybe it's the realistic map. But don't forget - hobgoblin kingdoms, dwarven slave uprisings, and so on...

Like Psion said, read Scarred Lands books and be welcomed to some real fantasy stuff.
