D&D 5E Looking for an adventure (dungeoncrawl) for my 5E campaign

I think Caverns of Thracia would be perfect for what you are looking for. It is deep and expansive, has an integral lore with ancient mysteries, and multiple competing factions. I haven't yet had a chance to run it, but it is at the top of my "desperately want to run" list.

Of the ones you listed, the Tomb of Abysthor probably fits better into the idea of one single dungeon that the party can return to over and over. It also has a long backstory and some really interesting mysteries. The Vault of Larin Karr is more of a campaign set in a wide valley. Tsojcanth and ToH are smaller, and I don't have any experience with Barakus or the others.

Castle Whiterock gets my vote. Big dungeon crawl with lots of encounter variety. Only drawback is lots of conversion needed for the customized creatures, items and spells.

Undermountain is HUGE! You could spend years (in-game and in real life) wanderoung around down there. It is lots of fun, but only if the GM and all the players are into dungeon crawling with no overarching plot other than "survive".

I was a player in an Undermountain campaign that lasted for a few months. I agree that it was a lot of fun. I've never read through it, but it seemed like there was a lot to work with.

I am keen to hear if anyone has played Rappan Athuk.

I've never played or run Rappan Athuk, but I'd like to hear people's experiences, too.

For something not qui-ite as big, but around the right level range, you can't go wrong with L1 Secret of Bone Hill.

Seeing Caverns of Thracia suggested reminds me of another of Judges' Guild's better ones: Maltese Clue. It starts as a castle crawl then progresses to a dungeon crawl...assuming, of course, the PCs can actually find the dungeon. It might be slightly too high level for your current crew, however.

Lan-"and if you don't want to use all of Princes of the Apocalypse just use bits of it - the various adventures in it can stand alone"-efan

I have quite a few large dungeons that I'm considering: Old stuff like Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth and Tomb of Horrors (would love a ToH-esque dungeon that was less deadly and more playable at low levels) and Ruins of Undermountain;
Any recommendations? Which of those listed do you think best fits my criteria? Any other suggestions?
I find the older stuff works really well. I ran "In Search of the Unknown" as an introductory game with amusing results. The conversion is so easy you can very nearly do it on the fly...
