Can't log onto yahoo here at work. But can receive it's emails.
I think the Legality question is best answered by others.
I say if it's in the SRD your fine, as long as you include the D20 Liscense page.
Now past that I don't know.
I prefer using the Evard's Black Tentacles vice Black Tentacles. Mainly because that is left over from playing so many years and calling it just Evard's.
I think in limited distrubition to like your group only, wouldn't be a problem, posting it to EnWorld's Downloads section might get you the cease and desist order.
As we all know only Code Monkey is the offical authorized distributor.
Now if you did only the SRD and then made the 'data' page editable and the ability to add others, I would say your golden.
Now the greedy player in me says give it all to me.
Nothing ever stops you from creating it or using it yourself.
It's when you give it to the first person that can be the problem.
Now since it's free, I think the worst they can do is sue your @ss off. Most likely thing though is to just do the C&D, which is what they would do prior to the SYAO.

He's had 193,000 downloads of his sheet from RPGSheets.com, so I'm thinking if he hasn't gotten a cease and dessist order, I wouldn't either.
My sheet doesn't come with an SRD license, and neither do any of the other character sheets I've looked at.
Ideally, a spell book file would connect to an internet database to get spell data, thus always being up-to-date, but I'm not sure this would be that easy to implement.

Might want to include a check list of books to include as well.
Simple Check box style like you did with the Class Skills.
And if not too hard include the Feats on the check list with drop downs for those Focus ones.

One quick question on the existing sheet, does it support Epic? I haven't tested that yet, hadn't seen anything that would be broken by it yet either. Using those Break down windows I think will prevent it breaking I'm assuming but you know what you get when you assume right - an @ss out of U and me.
A friend and I determined (Big House Rule Game) that to qualify for Epic you have to have over 20 levels in a base class before you use those rules. Even then if your 20 Fighter/10 Wizard if you take the Fighter it is as Epic Progression. If you take the Wizard you use the Wizard 11 progression. We will play test it as our characters go up through those levels. Personally I think the Epic book is broke and needs a complete rewrite.
I'm personally quite fond the the SSA-X2 sheet (and its predecessors) but then that's kind of to be expected. The sheet has literally been designed to handle pretty much any house rule I've thrown at it (in addition to complying to the core rules) since Pasus is one of my regular players. My players and I (along with a crowd of playtesters) have been trying to break every aspect of that sheet for ages now, with poor Pasus dutifully cranking out a patch whenever we found something that didn't add up. I have to admit that I'm impressed with the current sheet, doubly so since I've seen the sheer amount of time and effort he's put into it.
As for the Mystic Theurge, I was one of the DMs worried about it possibly being too powerful. I did the math and realized it should be fine but I had lingering worries. In the end, I've been astonished by how underpowered it is compared to a straight caster. The Practiced Spellcaster feat makes a big difference and but even with Practiced Spellcaster for BOTH the arcane and divine class, the Theurge only ends up being roughly as good as a straight caster. More flexible but with less raw power.

Too true. I like yours as it is easy to customize, but can't justify spending the money on it when Timpani is also easy (though yours is more so) to add stuff to.
