I second the not to 12 to Midnight.

I hope that wasn't a freudian slip, Chuck. :p

I do appreciate the plugs for 12 to Midnight. It does kinda depend on what you mean by no-FX, Corsiar. If you mean you don't want anything resembling magic or the supernatural in the adventure at all, then we're probably not for you. While all our adventures assume the heroes are regular humans without access to FX, we specialize in supernatural horror so you'll be going up against haunted houses, strange creatures, etc. We do have a no-FX adventure in the works called The Beast Within, and it's set in our Pinebox campaign setting. It'll probably be out in another month or so.

I'll also second Modern Dispatch. You're certain to find something you like in that 100+ issue run. Go to http://enworld.rpgnow.com and type a search for "Modern Dispatch".

There is a series of adventures based on a campaign setting called Treasure Hunter by Emerald Press. While magic is a possibility, it is not the main focus of the modules.

The modules are set in modern day Greece and revolve around restoring lost treasures, etc. There are three out at the moment, and are loosely related, or can be played on their own.

I've played through these at GenCon last year with the author and I can tell you they are very cool. They're fast-paced, action and investigation oriented and have some nice continuity.
I highly recommend the Treasure Hunter series of modules.

If you don't mind the pimpage, I'd like to point you toward the SEP downloads page where you'll find previews for the three adventures in the Albenistan series PsiSeveredHead mentioned (thanks for the plug!). The previews should give you an idea if this is what you are looking for. Absolutely no FX, though they are designed for relatively high level (9-11) characters and the plot is military.
