Does anyone know a decent artist who makes and sells (or better - offers for free) encounter maps designed for 11x17 printing? Please direct me to their website or store. I will become their best customer!
Background: I love the large number of artists making gaming maps, but it seems like nearly all of them design exclusively for Roll20. Maps for Roll20 have aren't designed for home printing. They're usually too poor DPI, or are just too awkward sized for printing. The few that don't seem to design for multi-page printing. The maps are often nice looking... until I print them out on six pieces of paper, cut them up with scissors, and cobble them together with scotch tape. Then they just look trashy.50'x80' is enough space for most encounters, and that's 10x16 one-inch squares. That's an A3 or Tabloid or 11x17 printed page. I can print an 11x17 page in nice full color at any office store for a buck. And I'd be willing to pay a buck for the map. If it was really useful for my campaign, I'd pay two or three bucks. And another two to have it laminated. I wonder why nobody's thought of that? Obviously some artist HAS. I'm no artist and I thought of it, right? So where is the artist who's thought of this before me? I want to give them my business!
