We all know that during an adventure it may not be possible to rest in the middle of the dungeon. So get your own private demi-plane (Genisis power) build a house and all you have to do is planeshift to it when you need to kick back.

Another idea for a wizard who has to much time and money. The PC's are in a large town and hear about a nice inn that they could stay at. When they arrive at the location they find a 10' by 10' shack. Inside is a permanent gate that leads to a demi-plane that contains a very nice, large inn.

Well what do you think?

Both ideas are a bit twinky for me - they sound like they belong in a Pratchett novel.

But I guess it depends on the level of magic in your campaign. They're both certainly valid.

Ah yes, one of my favorite characters had one of those. Felroe's Bitchin' Kitchen was the name.

Mordenkainen from Greyhawk definitely gets the most points for style, though.
