Looking for gay writers and designer for podcast interview.

I have some friends that will be interested. Thanks for doing this.

Have you considered something similar for cross gender designers?

for those that would be pained by stumbling upon a podcast with actual gays *talking*, man, I feel sorry for your world view.

Makes me sad to notice that there might well be people complaining because there's no warning that a podcast hosting gay designer speaking about the game.

The interview hasn't even been recorded and you guys are already making an issue out of it before anyone that might be against such an interview has. Doesn't making statements like that still violate the no politics/religious rule since you're basically trying to stir something up by criticizing their views?

Besides, like Howard Stern says, most viewers are going to be the people that don't like what is being said. :p

Can I offer myself up for the next podcast whenever you decide to interview a heterosexual caucasian male and what makes us different from other writers/designers? I kid, I kid.

Not to be all non-PC, but, gay game designers? My gut reaction is, "So what?" How does a person's sexual orientation -- is that the correct term? -- matter with regard to game design? Will the interview questions be different because of the person's orientation?

I mean, if you were interviewing two game designers, one straight, one gay, would anyone listening to the interview know there was a difference based on the conversation?

Can a person read a game book and identify what was written by a gay designer vs. a straight designer? Does a gay designer bring something to the design that a straight designer doesn't/can't/won't?

I realise some of you will not like the idea of a podcast with gay people in them. If that is the case, don't worry, I will post in here what the episode is so you don't have to listen to it.
Well, is the podcast going to be about writing and designing, or about gayness? Would the listener know the interviewee was gay if you didn't say so?

I don't know. I guess I'm just not getting the "issue."

An important part of RPG design is coming up with fictional content, and coming up with mechanics to produce, emulate and/or govern the deployment of that content.

I can't say a priori that being gay would make a difference, but given that it makes a difference for some other fiction-creating activities - some writing, some filmmaking, some humanities scholarship, etc - it strikes me as highly conceivable that it might.

If this helps some folks who happen to be gay feel more comfortable putting their best foot forward in the field of game design/writing by highlighting others in the industry who can serve as respected/successful examples then it seems like a good idea.
