Hey guys...
It's been ages since I've posted here at EN World, but now I have good reason to be back. I've written a scenario and a player's pack, for publishing. The first scenario - the one that's in a finished, but rough state - is going to be a freebie - a giveaway, as is the player's pack. I've started on scenario 2, the first in a series of scenarios I'm hoping to sell through RPGNow.com...
I'm looking for a DM or 2 to playtest the scenarios for me. In return, I'll make sure you get free copies. Sound like a deal? I hope so, at any rate.
Not much to it, really. I'll ask you to sign a little non-disclosure thingy...wouldn't want things just copied or the plots simply handed out...then, as you read and run the scenarios, I want some feedback - what works for you...what doesn't...where the rough spots are...what could be done for improvement...anything you think might be worth me noticing.
I figure it's only fair that I give you all a little intro to the scenarios - they aren't everybody's cup of tea, after all. I'm starting a line of adventure paths designed around single races, and their culture, so that players can play that race, and...rather than be particularly unusual for the race...like elves running with dwarves...or half-orcs, even...they're instead, fine, even outstanding, examples of their own race - the kinds of characters a mother-in-law could actually respect!
The first path is one for elves. If you run a game for players that love to play elves, and want the chance to play scenarios designed for an elven culture, you're exactly the kind of DM I'm hoping for. Likely, dwarves will be next, if this pans out, but doing one isn't a requirement, nor is it an agreement to do another. If it works for you, and keeps working for you, keep doing it, and I'll keep sending the scenarios, as they're finished.
Just a quick word about me: I've wanted to write and publish scenarios for a very, very long time, now, but something has always impeded me. Now, I'm in a situation (thanks to our lovely economy) where I need to do something to make money...to support any lifestyle at all, so I'm finally doing it. I've been gaming - usually as the gamemaster - since the white box, and been told many times that I was wasting my talent by not publishing. Well, time to see if they were right!
Post in this thread, if you're interested, and of course, I'll need an e-mail address. Let me know if time is an issue, either way. I can work with folks - but I am close to publishing the first scenario, and I'm hoping it can be playtested before I do!
