Looking for some images

Sir Elton

First Post
Hello,

I'm searching for some images for the production design notes for my Independent d20 project for new GMs. I'm doing production design first before over all adventure design, game rules, and setting notes. This is so that I can get the artistic feel down.

Here is what I need:
The website for the creator of Hell Boy, Frank Mignolia
(Frank's work was the inspiration for Atlantis: The Lost Empire. I want Frank's use of color, postive, and negative space mostly for the Contemporary Era).

I've already downloaded some robotech mecha images from Robotech.com, for the mecha feel.

A picture of a good, up to-date phyisics lab.

And finally, paintings of Atlantis. Preferably bright paintings of Atlantis; to offset the Dark Overtones of the Comtemporary Era.

Yours,

Elton Robb

You are having problems finding Hellboy because it is http://www.hellboy.com/ and it is by Mike Mignola.

I think you may be mixing up Frank Miller (another fine comic author) and Mike Mignola.

If you search on google.com for Mike Mignola you'll find plenty of Hellboy stuff.

The other stuff you are on your own. I'm not exactly sure what you are doing with the material, can you describe a little more?

If you are using the art as an example to your artists (or just for your own use or enjoyment), that is fine. But you can't copy and publish or even release for free somebody else's artwork (or words) without permission (and perhaps payment).

PS. took a little look at some web sites for Atlantis: The lost Empire. I don't see the Frank Miller or Mike Mignola thing. I see a rip off of Nadia: Secret of Blue Water, a 1991 Japanese Anime TV series:

Edited for PS and spelling and such..

Still don't see the Mike Mignola thing, but sure enough on that page it says he did some character design for it. I still wouldn't call the film in his style. I mean comparing Hellboy to Atlantis: the Lost Empire stills I've seen on the internet and Hellboy, they just don't look much alike. Your mileage may vary.

His plot summary in that 1999 quote don't strongly resemble the summary at IMDB.com either, but I haven't seen the movie to judge it.
