I'll post a picture later of our table at home, that I'm quite proud of. basically, we took a long folding table we bought at Sam's Club, put a big sheet of melomine(sp?) on the top to widen it a bit, and then built a smaller platform on top of it. basically this creates a two-level table where people can put their books & drinks & food & such underneath, while leaving the upper level for miniatures. While not a perfect system (you do need to stand up to really get a good look at the minis) it is definitely better than a standard table (where all the books & food & stuff got in the way)

ok, here's a couple of pictures of 'the cave' (aka our attic)

here you can see the game table with a full mastermaze dungeon setup on top. The GM sits at the side of the table to the left of the picture, and there's an extension table (a melomine board over top of the stairs) to use for extra pieces.

here's another shot of the table from the opposite side, you can see there's plenty of room for player's stuff. On the wall are the antique type boxes we use to keep/display the minis, and a large map of the campaign world.

it's messy but it's home ;)

that's a nice table...where did you get the map?

Thank you, it's amazing what a sheet of melomine and a 4x4 can do, for relatively little money. it's a CC2 map my husband made, and we had a friend working in a company that had a large plotter/printer who installed CC2 viewer there and printed it out for us.
