Looking for theme related adventures

Oryan77

Adventurer
Maybe someone could help me here. I'm looking for D&D adventures (any edition, any setting) that have specific content in them and are fun to run & play in. It would be nice if the adventures were around 8th-13th lvl but not necessary. I can tweak them a bit.

The content I'm looking for is the following:

An adventure with: Giants (I have Against the Giants, wondering if there's more)
An adventure with: Beholders
An adventure with: Lich
An adventure with: Dragon
An adventure with: Mind Flayers
An adventure with: Slaadi

An adventure set in the: Tundra
An adventure set in the: Underdark (seen a few, which ones are good?)
An adventure set: Airborn (like a cloud city or something)
An adventure set: Under water
An adventure based on: Sailing

Even better would be if the adventure includes an above creature as a BBEG in one of the above environments.

Thanks for any help!

Banewarrens has a little bit of every creature except the giants

Slaadi
Book of Challenges 3e WotC has a slaadi encounter.

lich
Against the shadows (2e Ravenloft, railroading)
Tomb of horrors 1e (superkiller)
Return to the tomb of horrors 2e (heard good things about it)

Mind flayers
Illithiad trilogy (2e)
There is a 2e ravenloft one with mindflayers but it was not very good.

Giants,
I think there is a Fiery Dragon module or two with giants for 3e that got good reviews

Any more suggestions from anyone?

Voadam:

I couldn't find any Ravenloft adventure called Against the shadows to read it's description. Even did a search on Ebay to see if someone had a copy but nothing turned up.

Is there a name for the Illithiad trilogy 2e adventure? I couldn't figure out which modules you were referring to.

I'm also not familiar with the Fiery Dragon modules. Would you be able to specify the one with giants?

Sorry for being so clueless but thanks for the help.

Check out Dungeon #87, I have forgotten the adventure name, but its a white dragon lair in an ice lair with water hazards. Another is Dungeon 94, Spirals of the Mezzinene (sp?) - mindflairs and the underdark. In both cases, the cover art is "based" on the above adventures.

Illithiad

The Illithiad trilogy Voadam mentioned consists of 'A Darkness Gathering', 'Masters of Eternal Night', and 'Dawn of the Overmind'. All are avalable in for $5 each at RPGnow.com if you're interested. I've never read them, so I'd be interested in hearing from somebody who had and how feasible they are to convert to 3.5e, since they draw heavily from the Monstrous Arcana book 'The Illithiad'.

Yeah the Illithiad trilogy book that looks more like what I'm wanting is Dawn of the Overmind. I'm not sure if I'm going to get it though. I'm kind of wanting an adventure with Mind Flayers in the Underdark with maybe some Drow encounters.

Voadam seeks to deceive you for nefarious ends. 'Ware his words, for they are false! The adventure is called From the Shadows and has a sequel called Roots of Evil. They are not railroady at all. Well, not unless you consider unavoidable beheadings, geas spells and silly NPC vs NPC standoffs railroady, but why split hairs?

That aside, they are bloody brilliant. Really, they stand out as two of the highlights of the Ravenloft series. They're actually the last two parts of an extended series but you can do without all that twaddle if you need to (and it's all summarised anyway). Plus you can download them both for free from here:

Edit: There is also a beholder trilogy from the same series as the illithids (Monstrous Arcana) - Eye of Pain, Eye of Doom and Eye of the Tiger. Or something. Never played them.

The Beholders had a trilogy of adventures in 2d edition, similar to the Mindflayers series.

Underdark adventures I am aware of include Night Below (2d edition) and City of the Spider Queen (3.x).

There are apparently a number of Slaadi in Monkeygod Enterprise's Black Ice Well.

Companies that have produced numerous adventures for 3.x include Atlas Games (under the Penumbra line), Necromancer Games, Troll Lord Games, AEG, FFG, Monkeygod Enterprises, and Goodman Games. (There are probably some companies I missed). All are of varying quality, but there are bound to be some that fit your bill (or can be shoehorned with little difficulty).

My advice is to hit each one's product page and find those that interest you. Then come back to the reviews here at Enworld and read those.

and baby makes three

Might as well complete the set:

The third Monstrous Arcana trilogy was for the Sahuagin and takes place at sea and underwater. Evil Tide, Night of the Shark, and Sea of Blood.

Underdark: Fiery Dragon's Queen of Lies (written by Monte Cook)

Also, try the double adventures

To Stand On Hallowed Ground (one of the adventures has a lich)

and

Nature's Fury (one of the adventures is set in deep snow and the other is in a tower trapped in an iceberg, so sailing is covered)

As for giants, there's Fiery Dragon's Beyond All Reason (fills the mind flayer niche as well).
