Looking for Trouble [Orsal Judging][Concluded]

Lucien slowly regains his feet after the ogre zombies head off after Rinya and Rowan. He turns toward Dagobert. "Thank you for healing me. I guess I ... underestimated them."

OOC: Patlin after waiting a year to do anything on the last adventure, this one is going way too fast with my job transfer and upcoming move across the country. To be fair, I should probably pull Gardner out of this. I still have that problem with my signature not being updated correctly even though i spent a good deal of time working on it on dial up :] Hope everyone has fun. In two weeks we've already seen more action than in our previous foray.

ooc: Sorry to lose you Salix! If you want to keep trying in spite of the troubles, I can NPC Gardner when you're not available. If you do want to pull Gardner out, I can also write him back in if things free up.

ooc2: I'm having some regrets about the Zombie Ogres... there are reasons I picked them, but both Zombies and Ogres have been showing up far too commonly in my games of late. I need to level you guys up, the bottom end of the CR chart is way too cramped for my style! :)

ooc3: I take it you want to move a safe distance away, rest and heal up, then resume pursuit of the nasties?

Killian comes panting up and drops on the ground: "Whew! Thank all that is holy you fleet footed hunters got their attention. In this armor, I wasn't going to stay ahead of them for long, and they would never tire. Did we even manage to scratch them?"

Richard looks at the claw marks and dent in his already battered chest plate... he has not gotten up since sitting down by Lucien and Dagobert. He remains uncharacteristically quiet, waiting his turn to receive the blessings of whatever god the healer serves.

OOC: I like fighting the ogre zombies. I think we can take them. I've never encountered them before. Obviously have better AC than human commoner zombies...

"What do you think, guys? Are you up to round 2 with those uglies? Or do you think we're better off going after whatever made them?" Rowan asks.

ooc: Not to mention they hit harder.

A gleam appears in Lucien's eye, "Those things need to be destroyed. And we know that we've already injured them. I say we finish the job then go after their creator."

Killian sits up, having caught his breath. "If we are to have a chance, I think we need to split them up and focus on one at a time." Killian ruefully examines his dagger. "And I could use a bigger blade."

Richard sits quietly for awhile, listening to the others become more encouraged to return to the fight that so narrowly missed killing him. Blood speckles his lips, his breathing is raspy, and he is still sitting... not because he likes the feel of his body next to the earth, but because he is unsure if he can stand.

"These things are tough, but they're dumb." says Rowan. "If possible, we should go by a town and get some fire. Some oil or that alchemical stuff. We should weaken them with missile weapons before we close. Since we need to rest anyway, perhaps we should head to the nearest town for the night."
