Hmm...apparently there's a National Geographic: Behind the Movie on Lord of the Rings Saturday night...is this the same as with the FotR EE DVD? And I can't seem to find what channel, either...
I taped it and watched it yesterday. Like 99% of you, I can't wait to see this last film. It's too bad that ABC has to be so cheesy and explain things as though majority of their audience is either toddlers or very old people. Was it me or did it look like most of the cast was semi annoyed that the anchor man was there. Just my thoughts..
It can't be no more annoying than those preview specials that aired a few weeks before the movie's opening (i.e., Fellowship of the Rings, The Two Towers) which were later added to as bonus features to the respective DVD Theatrical Edition.
This is the first time a news program is devoting a full hour to the epic movie. And I don't think they look annoyed at all, other than the fact that the footage was shot during the summer of this year, which are all reshoots (the principal photography was all done 3 years ago) in an effort to get the last film done by weeks before the movie opening (where the film production and distribution company mass-produces the film reels for the theaters).
So what's if it's a newbie guide to Middle-Earth? More exposure mean we might get more readers weaning off of JK Rowling's Harry Potter and pick up Tolkien's.
