I have done some repair work on many books that I acquired used (and sometimes well beaten). This little website can show you how to do some repairs very effectively.

Also, you are in Colorado Springs, so if you wanted, I could see about helping you out to make these repairs, since I have done so previously.

I've rebound one other stitched hardcover (a Rogue trader book) by removing all of the pages from the book, slicing the binding off with a hydraulic cutter, tape-binding the loose pages and then cementing the bound pages back inside of the cover. Seemed to work pretty well, though if you have any ideas, I'm open to suggestions :)

Drop me an email and I'll see if I can't catch up with you for coffee or lunch sometime during the week (or on a weekend). We'll talk games and binding. Oh, and I wanted to thank you for the new forums, too (the MeetUp replacement). Very cool on yout part! My email address is: jdrakeh <at> msn <dot> com
