Lords of Madness Stuff (Update: Some folks have it!)

It's just that they work and play with aberrations, so they just feel like they should be aberrations.
If it's any consolation, daelkyr (Eberron) are outsiders too. :)

Too bad you can't multitype like you can multiclass...

*falls over dead*

James, don't even suggest such a thing with other writers around! I have enough trouble with the 247,000,000,003.7 combinations and formulae the game has now!!

There hasn't been any other monster series book announced for 2005, has there been? I sure hope they don't give up the ghost yet -- there's still a lot more types to do, and while everyone hasn't loved every monster book equally, the overall quality of the line has been the best of any 3.5 supplement series.

I like the series (especially Lords of Madness), I don't know if all of the types really need a book, though.

Done, not to worry:
Aberration Type
Dragon Type
Undead Type

Only if they completely overhaul the format
Construct Type

Could be put together into a single book (and not a huge one at that)
Animal Type
Plant Type
Vermin Type

I don't think these need a book, but if so, they could go together
Elemental Type
Outsider Type

Again, these could go together, but I'm not sure they need to be covered anyway.
Fey Type
Magical Beast Type

What would you do with these guys?
Ooze Type

Do you really need these covered?
Giant Type
Humanoid Type
Monstrous Humanoid Type

So, yeah the series is great, but should it really continue in its current format? I WOULD like to see a construct book, but in my opinion, it should be a book designed sort of like an instruction manual and toolkit for wizards rather than an ecology-style book.

I think there's room enough for several books covering these types. One for elementals and elemental-themed outsiders (genies, but probably not hellhounds), and several for different types of outsiders (devils, demons, and celestials at the very least, possibly yugoloth as well). If you wanted to stretch it, you could go into different types of celestials as well (angels, aasimon, archons, guardinals, eldarin), but given that celestials don't get as much screentime as various fiends in most campaigns (on account of not being common as foes) they're probably better suited to being put together in one book.

My expectations just went up because there wasn't a prominant mention of 'New Feats! New LA+0 PC Races! And even more new feats!'

This is good :)

And Wayne Reynolds just gained a divine rank in my book for that Alhoon picture. Damn that looks nice.

You'll likely love the fact that they mention Sigil in the book, as well as the Astromundi Cluster, and several other little tidbits that popped up in Planescape :)

A recipe book? 1000 flavors of Jell-O :D!

Something along the lines of Mongoose's 'Constructs - It is alive'? This one was a pleasant surprise and made constructs interesting :).

What are the monsters described in the book? The main ones and the secondary ones in the monster chapter?

What's a Tsochari supposed to look like or be? Are the they parasite-type that take over minds when attached, or are they the type that consumes a victims insides and takes over as something wearing their flesh?

Is the Half-Farspawn template to the pseudonatural template, basically like the half-celestial template compared to the celestial template

The Tsochari are basically like these masses of tentacles covered with spikes. They force their way into the bodies of humanoids, either controlling the existing brain, or eating out the victim's insides, then wearing the skin like a cheap suit. However, they tend to prefer inhabiting spellcasters, as they get to use their spell-powers.
