LOST 5-10-2006 "?"

How many monitors were there? Like 9/ I wonder if each monitor is another station or if each station might have had multiple cameras. There is some mystery there.

I was pretty disappointed that we didn't see anything else on the cameras. I was hoping to see another hatch facility - even if it was abandoned.

It could be that the Pearl station was set up to specifically watch the Swan station though.

Which would force her to raise the baby herself. Maybe the psychic saw that the baby would be the one to break and solve the mysteries of the island. Being that he was born on the island.

Or maybe the baby is the next Pol Pot, and he was hoping to send it to it's death by being on the plane which was about to crash.

My feeling is that the map will turn up in another hatch they find next season. :D
When will they find the hatch of skeletons of the people that used to live on the island? ;)

The altruistic activities of the Hanso Foundation seem to be mythical, as mythical as unicorns, Girls Gone Wild in Nebraska and leper-chauns*.

The island appears to be a vast Skinner box for studying methods for controlling people, but one that has not slipped out of the control of the people who started the project. It is just supposed to appear that is has slipped out of control.

All the different complexes were just part of this system, and the damaged and destroyed ones – along with the supposed accident way back when, and the Others – are all just red herrings and red herrings.

Meanwhile, back on the mainland, the masters of the Hanso Foundation keep watching what is going on, pulling strings and tightening the screws on people, all for the sake of the emotional satisfaction they gat from doing this to people.

Ya got to admit, it would be entertaining to drive a man mad by terrifying him that if he does not reenter some number over and over and over.

I don’t have any real theorizes about why Hanso and his associates chose the people they did, but I do think I’ve got the island figured out more or less.

I thought the film said they could take a ferry back to "X barracks". A ferry indicates a short trip over water. The cables Sayid found ran off into the ocean. Off shore facility? Maybe underwater?
This wouldn't surprise me at all. We have a large cable going out to sea, and sharks with fricken' Dharma symbols on 'em.

But I still stand by my comments from last week, in that Ana and Libby were killed due to their off-screen antics. The non-conclusion of Libby's backstory further solidifies my opinion.

And I certainly don't believe the producers' claims that there's no super-science or paranormal stuff in the show. That's already proven false, IMO (what with everything from the black smoke to the dreams/visions telling people things they couldn't possibly know otherwise).

What? The boy band that did "Mmmm-bop" had a disease named after them? I guess leprechauns would be immune to that. Probably carriers, though.

I also hope Locke is able to figure out if Henry really didn't enter the numbers based on the Pearl hatch printouts. If he did enter them, it'll might renew Locke's faith in the island (wondering why Henry lied about it) or Locke will slip into deeper cynicism if Henry didn't. Either one could be interesting.

So, how many of you have found Persephone on the Hanso site? Haven't seen her mentioned yet so I thought I'd ask. Now if only I had written down the phone number that was displayed during the Hanso commercial.

If you want to find Persephone, use the code from the www.sublymonal.com site and order up a newsletter on the www.thehansofoundation.org site. Use any name you like, just put in the code as the password and see what happens!

Then, for those of you not well versed in greek mythology, do a google search on Persephone and see just how this might tie into Lost. Walt is the closest thing I can think of.
