Lost Eberron 4E Style: Combat over, Level up!

Stellan growls in rage. You'll not escape so easily, you useless bag of bones, he shouts at the undead as he stalks up behind it. As soon as he has himself in position, and using the distraction provided by Thormir's hammer, he swings his axe again. This time it buries itself in the creature, drawing its attention once again to the warden.

Hesh continues making his way around the skeletal warrior. Seeing the wear on the golem, he barks, Thought you constructs were made of sterner stuff? Pull yourself together, this bag of bones has nothing on you! He then jabs the flail at the skeleton, smashing some of it, but he overextends himself, leaving an opening.

That...thing was fast.

Lorn grabbed the vials and squeezed out of the crack in the side of the wreck. Scrambling through the wet sand he moved to get a better view of the ongoing fight with the creature. Raising his staff with a sweeping gesture he called on the surrounding shadows to entangle and torment their attacker.

The blow is too high to jump over, and to low to duck under. The axe bites deep into the creature's side and several ribs crack. The wet sand underneath the shifter's feet flows up his legs and torso, covering his body for the moment. When Stellan pulls the axe free, the creature turns, hissing at the angry shifter. No cry of pain or splash of blood reminds The Lost that they are facing unnatural creatures.

The skeleton can't resist the opening being made, the undead raises it's longsword ready to bring it down on Hesh. Xandren is quicker though, his own huge blade crashes into the skeleton's shoulders as it turns to assault the hobgoblin. That blow proved final as the creature fell to the ground, the foul energy that animated it leaking out onto the sand. Seeing the skeleton fall, gives Thormir a sense of accomplishment, and fortifies him for the time being.

The creature hisses at the dwarf, and is ready to step foward against him, when Lorn emerges from the confines of the ship. A pair of vials are held in his hand. The wizard holds his staff in the other. Gesturing out with the staff, dark tendrils of energy burst out from the sand, wrapping around the creature. The creature releases a chilling howl, before falling to the ground, motionless.

The battle over, Lorn's sphere disappears. Stellan's wounds mend slightly. The battle had taken much out of The Lost. Looking around, the sunrise is a few hours off. The rain appears to be letting up slightly, but the knee-high mist doesn't yet dissipate.

Leaning on his knees, Thormir finally catches his breath. That was tough, for Kol Korrath! What do we do now? I doubt I'd sleep well but we need ta rest someway!

ooc:Thormir will spend 3 surges to get to 30 hps. Down to five.
 

That's probably all we'll see tonight. Such predatory packs don't tend to overlap their territories, Stellan suggests as he checks over the worst of his own wounds. More importantly, where is the source of the corruption that created those things?

Lorn pauses a moment to catch his breath and breath a sigh of relief before going over to the remains of the creature they had just taken down, muttering to himself.

Undead? Hate the damned things!, he said with a shiver.

The young wizard looked around at the others, Everyone Alive?

I found some potions...I think they're the sort that will heal, you know, in an emergency. Maybe we should let Hesh carry them...

Eyeing the corpse suspciously Lorned prodded it a few times with his staff, before finally croaching down to get a better look at it and search for clues.

Damn thing was saying something about a master, no? Knew we were here, exactly where too...we aren't first either...

Better check the others too, these potions came from one of the skeletons...
