Lost Eberron 4E Style: Combat over, Level up!

ooc:WTH should I do? I can't get away and I can't attack without drawing 3 to 5 OAs! Let's try to be inventive...

This looks really bad... mumbles Thormir. His body seems bathed in flames for a brief moment as he recovers his strenght, then he swings his hammer against one of the skeletons, hoping in a lucky hit.Which comes. As the skeleton crumbles, Thormir steps closer to Hesh, and next to Stellan.

[sblock=OOC]The WARLOCK just did more melee damage than Xandren has all fight (8 in the first round). Crazy. ; )

Oh, and Xandren marks S2. Forgot to mention it in the natural 1 annoyance.[/sblock]

[sblock=ooc]yeah that was a really needed lucky roll with that pathetic +2 proficiency bonus to hit. It was the only vaguely wise course of action I could devise...[/sblock]

Xandren brings his blade around his back, winding up for a big swing against the skeleton. As he steps forward and tries to bring over his shoulder, the tip of the blade catches on the edge of the ship. His offense halted, he favors getting out of flanking, stepping towards the beach.

Stellan wishes death upon the skeleton, but weak as it is, the skeleton blocks the shifter's sweeping axe with it's shield. A leather pack hangs partially loose upon the undeads back. The clinking of glass can be heard within. The shifter hestitates with what to do.

[sblock=ooc]Stellan misses, but can't shift back because the stairs are difficult terrain. Let me know what you want to do.[/sblock]

Meanwhile on the outside of the ship, Hesh continues to lie in a pool of blood. His breathing is shallow, but he is could be worse.

Thormir sees the dire straits of the warlord. Knowing his attacks will draw attacks from the skeletons that surround him, he swings his warhammer out in a wide arc at the skeleton in front of him. The dwarf's skill with the hammer is weak, but it is the move the skeleton doesn't expect. Thormir strikes the undead's shield with great force, destroying the rotting wood, and crashing into the creature's sternum, sending a cloud of dust dust up from it's bones as it falls to the ground. The bones crunch loudly as the dwarf steps on them, taking the skeleton's previous spot.

One of the skeletons move around the ship. It's rounds the corner and sees the warforged. It swings it's blade at Xandren, but the he is ready. Hearing the creature bones scraping on the sand, he parries the creature's blade, which looks much smaller than his own.

[sblock=ooc]Skeleton moves around the ship, attacks Xandren. Miss 14 to hit.[/sblock]

The other skeletons cut off the dwarf. Whether they know he wants to reach the fallen hobgoblin, or they just seek an advantage in their combat is unknown. The skeletons that are flanking the dwarf take their strikes first. The first swings at the dwarfs arm, but Thormir ducks underneath the swing. The other skeleton swings an overhead blow, but Thormir brings hammer up to parry the strike. The remaining skeleton strikes last, and it's strikes narrowly misses, but the dwarf, feels his morale dropping as he catches a glimpse of the nearby hobgoblin, covered in blood, still motionless.

[sblock=ooc]2 skeletons attack with CA: Hit AC 8 and 14(both miss). One without CA: hit AC 18. 4 damage.[/sblock]

The shifting of the skeletons back and forth in the sand were no good for the fallen hobgoblin, especially as one unceremoniously stepped on his wound. It begins burbling up arterial blood again...

OOC: Strike 2!

[sblock=ooc] Stellan will leave himself open to the skeleton's attack and head down the stairs, getting as close as possible to Hesh. [/sblock]

As Lorn picked himself back up off the floor he spied the fighting going on through the crack in the hull of the wreck. Glancing at the stairs and then back and the crack he made up his mind. Wedging himself underneath the stair he crept over to the opening and as he looked out the whole situation became clearer.

Sorry..., he muttered to himself. Then reached an arm out.

Duck!

Then with one gesture unleashed a roiling blast of thunder.
