Lost Eberron 4E Style: Combat over, Level up!

Also, you rolled a d8 again for your battleaxe. I rolled a d10 for you and got a 10, so you'll do 14 damage or 7(weakened).[/sblock]

[sblock=Evo] Thanks for looking out for me. I forgot about the font, and still haven't shaken the d8 that I originally had down when I was going to give Stellan a scimitar instead of a battleaxe. I'll get my stuff together one of these days. :p[/sblock]

The primal sprits favor Stellan and he feels the weakness fade from his limbs. He swings his axe at the zombie, the heavy blade cuts deep into the creature's chest, and the undead flails vainly at him as it falls to the ground unmoving.

Seeing the other zombie come at them from across the stream and knowing that Stellan took care of the other one, Hesh takes a chance. He strides toward the soggy undead, he shouts to his companions, Get ready to have my back! He then yells at the more distant one with a taunting tone, Hey, ugly! Try throwing bits of this one! With that, he smashes the walking corpse, drawing the meat flinger with his threat. Even from this distance, the hobgoblin can smell the meat-flinger. The stench is eye-watering, he doesn't envy the crocodile right now.

The crocodile is clearly upset about having these trespassers in it's domain. It blows air from it's nostrils, spraying water into the air. It turns and swims out of sight. Before long, it's clawed feet can be heard. It rounds the corner of the ship, tail lashing behind it. It's jaws are open and it makes a hissing sound as it stands next to the warforged, ready to attack. Clearly, more palatable meals are here.

Lorn shot the crocodile a wide eyed look and scrambled a little farther away from it. Satisfied he was out of reach of that toothy maw he turned, raising his forked staff toward the bat. Calling out strange syllables he unleashed a bolt of pure force at the creature. They couldn't let it slip back into the darkness once more.

The wizard let out a cry of frustration as the bolt slammed into the side of the reck behind the bat. Finding strength in desperation he let loose another blast of magic. Hearing a cry from Hesh, Lorn whirled and let loose again, almost without thinking.

Lorn moves away from the snapping jaws of the crocodile. He raises his staff towards the very much wounded bat. A mutter of arcane syllables, and the wizard thrusts the forked staff at the creature. A missle of pure force arcs toward the bat, but strikes the ship instead, sending shards bursting outward from the hull.

Calling upon his own inner reserves the wizard tries the same incantation again. As the magic missle forms between the tines of his staff, he adjusts his aim. The missle arc towards the creature, but the wizard doesn't even see the spell strike true, he turns as Hesh yells and unleashes the same spell again. This time against the zombie that is currenly standing in the murky stream. A blast of water near the undead shows that his quick spin threw off his aim. As the wizard catches his breath after his arcane barrage, the grasping shadows he summoned to wound the bat fade from sight.

[sblock=ooc]Bat is dead, Thormir gains pact boon, but no benefit, as he already has 1 THP.[/sblock]

The zombie pulls a chunk of stinking flesh from it's arm. It winds up and hurls it at the hobgoblin, the nearest target. The throw is awkward from being in the water and strikes the warlord in the shoulder before bouncing over to land beside the shifter. Hesh feels his arms grow heavy as he is ready to parry an oncoming clubbing hand from the zombie.

[sblock=ooc]Corruption Corpse targets Hesh for it's flesh glob. Hits Ref of 14(hits) for 6 damage and Hesh is weakened(save ends). You guys are doing pretty good so far. Great teamwork![/sblock]

Thormir quickly moves behind a wreck to take cover from the zombie targeting the party from the water, then focuses his power on the crocodile and attempts to blast it, though the large shoulders of Xandren interfere with his aim...

Thormir moves to cover, moving towards the jungle, ducking behind one of the wrecked ships. The dwarf focuses his power on the crocodile, and he tries to speed it towards it's death so he can gather it's power. Unfortunately, the blast of eldritch energy hits the sand wide of the croc, sending a spray of the grains over the croc and Xandren.

Xandren, faced with the teeth of the reptile, is ready to strike back...

Xandren, faced with jaws full of fangs, tries to keep the attention of the croc on him and away from the others. He succeeds in doing so, although his fullblade only grazes the creature.

The warforged stares into the eyes of the angry croc, he drives the reptile back a step, with a quick thrust of his blade. That is as far as the croc moves and the warforges swings his fullblade at the beast. The creature hisses at Xandren as the blade barely connects with it's snout doing minimal damage.

The zombie steps forward, it's stinking, meaty fist swings down at Hesh. The hobgoblin's muscles are weak from the hunk of meat sapping his strength, but he still raises his weapon. The zombie's blow deflects off hilt of the warlords double flail, doing no harm.

As Hesh feels his muscles weaken, he tenses up. He thinks of the plunge from the Dragon's Mouth into the icy waters below while trying to flank the Seventy Stinger's. He remembers the the strength he had to fight off the numbing cold... but it no avail. The stench, the strangeness, it is too much for him and his muscles seize up.

As the zombie thrusts at him, he attacks recklessly at the zombie, trying to cause it to overextend. He glances at the dwarf meaningfully to be ready. The strike is weak, but perhaps the dwarf will have an opening...
