half way through the episode and I find myself really not careling. Some one just died, I think we saw him mentioned or even had an actor play him once or twice but it wasn't a death that really seemed to matter. And of course you watch the water.

For well since the show started it gives so little that it is just wearing on me. If there was a better show in the time slot I'd probably jump to that and just wait and see if this thing actually goes anywhere. I imagine I'm one of the few as it seems to have captivated many people.

I liked it...but yes, Lost is giving way too little. Everything that happened tonight had a good internal logic...but it is giving way too little. I hope they start some revelations soon, because you can't string viewers on forever.

Good for Charlie!

of course he shot him... I didn't know who it was going to be but I knoew someone was going to kill the guy, no way this show was going to let him get captured alive.

All I kept thinking during Jack & Ethan fighting was, "Um, guys, there's a loose gun,,, somebody get the gun... a loose gun is never good." First I thought Ethan would get it, but once they had him surrounded, I thought Claire would get it and shoot him. I was surprised.

BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!

Overall I thought it was another good episode.
That said, you're not alone Crothian, I am also feeling the strain.

I think part of the issue is actually by design, in that they keep seeding so many clues, plots, and side-plots that they don't have enough time to visit them each episode. So for that reason I think it's just something we're going to have to live with or leave. I see myself continuing to watch, just because I like the style and the characters of the show enough to outweigh my impatience.

For what it's worth I've read in several places that there will be a couple "big" happenings by the end of the season finale.

I don't know, but something dosen't jibe with me about how easily Jack took down Eathan.

When Jack is first confronted by him while searching for Claire, Eathan practically beats him within an inch of his life and leaves him gasping in the mud. Jack could barely lay a hand on him. Then, in tonight's episode, we find out from Kate that the man Eathan killed (can't remember his name; I think he appeared for a short while on the episode when Claire is first abducted) had his neck and every bone in his limbs methodically broken; all this while the camp was on a watch for Eathan.

I'm just getting a sense that there's something more to this. I'm with Aulayan on this one; I'd like some closure for once.

I was thinking the exact same thing. ;)
So the end was somewhat of a surprise.
Like Crothian I wasn't expecting alot of answers from Ethan, but I thought he might be captured and just not talk.

enough already! What's going on with the friggin' hatch they found buried? Why hasn't anyone gone to talk to the Frenchwoman? Why isn't anyone trying to find Blackrock? These people have all these burning questions to answer, and they sit around the beach or the caves all day.....
Well, it doesn't look like next week will provide us with any answers either. From what TV Guide says, it's all about Sawyer vs. a big ass boar with a vendetta against him. So, looks like not only no questions answered, not even any teasers....
Seriously though, does this series remind you of the X-Files a lot? Wierd stuff happening, a teaser here and there, a question answered about once every 10 episodes... and they kept it going for I-don't-remember-how-many years....
