"Elise whats going on? Are you OK?"
No, wake the others Elise says fear evident in her voice.
SuddenDawn said:
As Elise approaches the source of the sound with her magically lit crossbow bolt, she feels increasing apprehension as she cannot make anything out except for the vague shapes of the natural landscape. Nearly simultaneously two things happen: A movement catches the attention of Ligaea about 20 feet ahead, and nearly 15 fifteen feet to the left of Elise the sound of swords being unsheathed is heard.
When she identifies the sound of swords, Elise drops her bolt and resists the urge to step back. Rather she steps toward the sound. Reaching into her belt as so many time before she produces a pinch of colored sand, weaves a quick arcane word, but pauses till she can identify her attacker.
Actions-(Drop bolt[free], 5 ft readjustment towards sounds of swords 'bout 15' away. Ready casting of color spray, First guy to attack her gets a face full, plus hopefully at least one guy behind him. 15' cone.

I meant dancing lights, forgot I prepared that instead, It won't change much, except I have a brighter selection of objects than I had, I can move them with my thoughts, and it only last for a minute. If you wanted, you could just have my light spell blink off after a minute.

Elise, if I may, how came you to focus on one school, do you not miss the study of all the arcane mysteries. I for one see them as notes in a harmonious melody or chapters in a well written prose. Take any bit away, and does not the whole suffer?
Elise takes a moment to ponder this question. One she has had to think of before.
In Medibaria one of my instructors told me, when I first started, "Elise, A true master is one that can put all of herself in what she believes in, and none in what she doesn't." To that end, when I studied at the academy, I put most of my focus in Abjuration and illusions and divination. Those are the schools that call to me, that feel right. To fit the extra time I dropped all studies of enchantment and necromancy. Had I not I still wouldn't be casting those spells. As wondrous as they are, I have no desire to control the living or the dead. It has always seemed to be a dark road to start down.
"No, I'm afraid I have not." Krit replies, "May I ask as to why you inquire?"
Well, someone said they wanted to her about how the first "job" I took went. Perhaps even the particulars of the events. I figure it would pass the time.[/sblock]
