Oh, come on. Am I the only person who thought the baby was Kate and Sawyers? I mean it made sense. I figured Jack didn't want to see the baby because Sawyer was probobly dead and it was because of something that Jack did, maybe he had to kill him for some reason.

Of course knowing now that it was Aaron makes perfect sense as well, and was clearly foreshadowed, but it was not obvious.

When she first said "my son," I honestly thought it might have been hers and Sawyers for about 1/2 second, but immediately thought, "no, there's a twist... must be Aaron." So yeah, thought it, but it didn't stick. Honestly, I would have rather been surprised.

I knew it was Aaron from the scene Kate and Claire shared about taking care of kids, and Claire asked her to hold Aaron. Right after that when Kate mentioned a baby, I knew it was him.

I find the Locke/Ben parallel to be highly interesting. Locke is definitely becoming the new Ben, especially in his banishing of Kate. The only reason he has power is because he's completely loony. Yay for Rose calling it out during the split.

So Kate's mission was to find out if she'd be able to go back? I'm not certain I buy it, because she could have stayed with Sawyer. No one was going to throw her out but Locke. I think there had to be an ulterior motive.

Oh, and one thing I thought of this morning. Kate's mom "had to testify." I'm thinking Abaddon was coercing her, and they were/are trying to find Aaron.

I'll admit it. I was fooled into believing that the baby was Sawyer's because of Jack's reaction. I was completely surprised when Kate said 'Aaron' to the kid. Once I heard it though, it made sense to me. Could Kate not want her mom to see the kid because it's not actually hers? Not really a grandkid at all to her mom?

I had thought Kate's desire to find out if they knew about her was due to being pregnant. That would be the best imperative to leave the island despite being wanted by the law.

Good episode. Can't wait till next week to see what the heck happened to the helicopter. More time dilation weirdness. Strange that radio waves seem to travel at their normal speed, but anything else is caught in time fluctuations. I wonder if time is equal on the island and off the island, but fluctuates in the barrier between. Could the clocks stay synched between island and boat except for when you travel from one to the other?

I didn't know it was Aaron until I saw his blonde hair.

I knew there would be a twist, but I thought the twist might be that Kate had a son before she crashed on the island, so the kid would be much older than we expected him to be, complete with pyschic powers ala Walt.

Speaking of which, what was up with Daniel and Charlotte's playing card guessing game? Is he supposed to have psychic powers as well?

It had to be Aaron. Unless the flashforwards were three or four years after they left the island, there was no way it was Kate's kid.

So, Oceanic Six...

Jack
Kate
Hugo
Sayid

Leaving 1.5 positions open, as even if Aaron was not on the manifest he could be considered one of the eight by dent of surival.

I still think it will be Sun and Jin unless they are killed.

I also think Jack feels culpable - or is responsible - for the death of Claire as otherwise his reaction to the kid makes no sense.
