LotR characters

Here's my honest take on the characters...

Aragorn: Fighter 8/Ranger 8
Legolas: Fighter 10 (Emphasis on archery feats)
Gimli: Fighter 10 (Emphasis on melee feats)
Gandalf the Grey: Wizard 15 (Half-celestial template)
Gandalf the White: Wizard 17+ (Half-celestial template)
Boromir: Fighter 8

I didn't include the hobbits, since I feel that they would mostly be low-level commoners (Pippen and Sam) and aristocrats (Frodo and Merry both come from wealthy families). Pippen and Merry might have a couple of fighter levels, working for Gondor and Rohan like they did.

And don't forget Tom Bombadal who is a 20th level Bard

Shouldn't Gandalf have some fighter levels what with his Glamdring skills (and blocking and breaking the Balrog's sword)?

Pippin was definitely an Aristocrat if any of the Hobbits were. He was the son of the Thane of the Shire, and became Thane himself later in life.

I would Boromir's level higher than Gimli or Legolas'.

He killed something like 30 or 40 Uruk-hai himself, then recieved at least three crits from what amounts to a high level barbarian before dying. (in the book, the orcs shot him at least twenty times and he kept fighting).

Gimli and Legolas never did anything like that; sure, they each killed a lot of orcs, but that was in small, easily managed clumps of two or three at a time.
