LotR Marathon

Tomorrow (Saturday) is my birthday. To celebrate I am hosting a Lord of the Rings marathon event with the BluRay extended edition version. To prep I upgraded the TV, added in a modern receiver to get some decent sound and stocked up on tons of food and drink tonight for the folks coming over.

The party starts at 9am with short breaks for lunch and dinner. Can't wait! We did this once before with the extended edition DVDs, but I think that was like five years ago!

Sounds fun.

Most of my friends don't have the patience to sit for movie marathons. Two of my friends who have moved to other states love movies as much as I do and we used to have movie days.

We get together at the one's house and we would each bring food. One person would be in charge of the program for that day. It was a blast.

11 hours ago (AP) Over 70 people have been hospitalized nationwide as thousands of fans attempted 20 hour Lord of the Rings and Hobbit marathons. Most have suffered from heart palpitations and shortness of breath due to an overdose of Mountain Dew and Cheetos. The worst case was however when a dispute over the differences between the books and the films ended in a stabbing of a Woodbury, MN resident with a replica short sword. Doctors say he is in a stable condition but will have to figure out how to turn off the blue light before they proceed with an operation.

Cool, I hope you had fun, I just told my brother a coupl of days ago that once the hobbit movies are out I'm going to do a marathon of all five movies directors cut editions and get all the old gang together (of course most of them will need permission from the wives so I've started talking about it today )
