LotR RotK DvD

BiggusGeekus

That's Latin for "cool"
We got the disk via Webflix this weekend. It's just the bare-bones movie. Not even any interviews.

It helps our LotR jones until the EE comes out, but it isn't really satisfying.

One disk. Hmmm. Maybe Netflix just doesn't ship the other one. I assumed that because we recieved one there was only one. My bad.

I got the two disc set from the video store, and the second disk doesn't have much on it anyway. Some repeats of short features from Lordoftherings.net, the lame National Geographic special, stuff like that. No interviews, no commentary tracks.

They're saving all the good stuff for the expanded edition, which is why I rented the two disk-er to satisfy my RotK jones, but will wait to make a purchase.

Call them. Ask them why they only sell that one disc for ROTK.

Netflix is an internet-rental thingie not a retailer-thingie. So no worries there. Although the conversation would be amusing:

"HEY BOZO! I rented a movie and that's exactly what I got! What's the matter with you morons?"

One more Christmas with LotR ... one more chance to be amazed at the new stuff on the (small) screen ... one more chance to say good-bye ... fantastic. :)

But I don't want to say good-bye. Can't we stay in the Shire a little longer? :(

Well, it's been an eight-year journey. I'm just glad this happened in my lifetime.
