What do you use to stream on your TV?

Primarily I use a 4K smart TV for Netflix, Tubi, Disney+, Prime, Twitch, and occasionally Youtube (computer more often for Youtube). I also have a Roku 4K stick attached to it, for that specific platform.

Another Roku Ultra user here. The primary reason for my choice is that it is a wired device. Years ago I tried a Roku stick and I had lots of problems with the streams glitching and buffering, despite the TV being 5 feet from the router. The wired connection has been problem free. I recommend this to anyone experiencing problems with their wireless setup.

One other point: it may be somewhat obvious, but sometimes streamer app updates require newer streaming devices. If your TV is your streaming device and it can't be upgraded, you will need to get a separate streaming device (or a new TV). When I bought a new TV a couple of years ago, the built-in streaming functions of the TV were not a factor to me.

The biggest irritant is that it somehow constantly runs out of batteries in the remote. I have rechargeables so it doesn't cost anything really, but it's bloody annoying given you can just not use it for a week and somehow the remote is out-of-battery despite having been at like 30% last you checked.
That does sound like unusual behavior. My Roku Ultra remote lasts about 5 or 6 months.

My TV remote (which I hardly ever use) is solar powered. I hope we see more solar powered remotes in the coming years.

Apple TV mostly. I got a couple for my wife, who wanted them, even though I'm a pretty anti-Apple guy. But it won me over with being better than the built in apps on the TV.

I also do plenty on my phone and computer too, though.

Google TV. The older version with less storage and no Ethernet port. It has most of the apps (including Kodi for NAS-access and Deezer/spotify for music) and the remote can handle soundbar and tv on/off.

And I can take it with me quite easily.
