LotR RPG...

This probably isn't the best place to ask this, as the LotR RPG isn't really a D20 system, but...

Has anyone played this yet? I have, and it is a lot of fun.

I purchased the Core rules and read up on them, and re-read up on them, and even re-re-read up on them, and I am pretty confused on some things. Namely, the character creation part.

I mean, it is just a big ole mess. It seems simple enough, but the character creation rules are just spread all over.

Does anyone know of a site that describes the easiest way to create a character, sort of a walk-through? Something like:

1) First you roll attributes
2) Then you assign them
3) Then you pick a race
4) Then you apply racial bonuses to the attributes
5) Then you write down your racial abilities
6) etc.

???

Any help would be appreciated.

Colonel H here on the boards wrote a great review of the game a few months back. If I can find the link, I'll post it here.

That said, I bought the game a few months ago and think it looks great. Sadly, I have yet to convince my group to give it a whirl. They have a definite resistance to playing anything other than one campaign at a time. I think they feel if they aren't advancing their "main" characters, they're somehow wasting time. Oh well!
