Heh. Personally, I have no idea why this was made public, but not anything more. It's one of those press releases that just... I dunno.

But I believe that "fired" is too kind a word for what would happen to me should any leak happen on my watch, so draw from the helpful press release what you will.

Still, man, Willow. Just think about it. All those unanswered questions, all that rich worldbuilding... this could be the chance of a lifetime. You could play a... whatever they were called instead of halflings, a crazy swordsman in a cage, or some wonky fey creature. Also, hiding pigs. I don't see any way that could go wrong...

This happens, BioWare recently got bought out by EA, and Mass Effect is about to be launched. My brother met Adam Sessler in Edmonton today, he asked me why he might be there, I told him one of these reasons, probably Mass Effect. Dude looks orgasmic when he talks about this game.

The trouble with a Willow MMORPG, is that the sequel trilogy basically destroyed much of the world. I gueuss George wasn't happy the movie flopped.

Anyway, it being a KOTOR MMORPG is the only possibly expanation for the secrecy. They don't want to undercut sales of Galaxies until KOTOR Online is ready to go.

I guess an Indiana Jones game could be cool and possible, but Lego Indiana Jones is coming out in time for the movie. I doubt they would have 2 games when the movie is released.

Considering the pain that Galaxies has become, please give us something new in Star Wars MMO form.

Honsetly, I'd be happy if they just went back to how the game was set up at release, because that was the BEST MMO out...but it was too 'different' for Sony so they had to make it WoW in Space.

Yes, I'm still bitter.

I'd love to see a SW MMO done right. It's one of the few IPs with the strength to rival Warcraft.

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against WoW. But what I would like to see is a lot more competitors at the top end of MMO market. Right now, it's still WoW on one side, everyone else on the other.

Can BioWare do this? I dunno. With their purchase by EA, they'd certainly have the budget. And of course they made one hell of an RPG with the KotOR. On the other hand, EA has a bad rep with MMOs, don't they? )Someone more knowledgeable than myself would have to chime in on that one.) And BioWare is not known for its multiplayer content.

Whatever they're building, I'm looking forward to it. I have a lot of confidence in BioWare as a developer, and of course I love Star Wars.

I don't see why we can't have both.

Because they don't have twice the manpower resource to develop both simultaneously. One has to take priority over the other.

Unless they use NWN2 model; develop the standalone game first and later add the MMO capability.
