Lulu.com: Preparing files

So, uploading a file to Lulu has turned out to be more work than I originally thought. The cover wizard seems like a bit of a PITA... Any thoughts on:

1. turning PDF pages into images
2. creating wraparound PDF cover files
3. Using the cover wizard tool, including the weird back cover issue of typing text you cannot see

Any experiences?

I should add that up to this point, I've been using OpenOffice and doing a quick conversion to PDF for my e-books.

Well, after looking at what's entailed in making a wraparound cover (probably more than I want to deal with right now), I made some design compromises and tried out their wizard. My first copy will arrive soon and I'll see how it looks.
