Lycanthropy Savage Species style?

I'm a mix DM/Player who only recently started getting into the whole lycanthropy and vampire mix after more then 5 years of play. I was wondering if there is anyone out there who has successfully made a type of level progression for lycanthrops and vampires, such as some of the examples in savage species. My original thought was something that would slowly grow as the character progresses, not necessarily a one time boost to stats and such. Like a level 1 lycan would only have normal and animal form, maybe no DR at first, definitely no ability adjustments, ect. I would love any help anyone can offer to make something that everyone can use and enjoy.

ty for the info! Started looking it over, and i love it! looks awsome for gestalt games for vampire especially (a friend of mine loves those but hates the level adjustment)
