lyrics for a singing sword

Lighthearted (just change the name as appropriate):

Joxer the Mighty

Blood...valour...and victory! Ha-ha!
Joxer the Mighty,
He's very tidy.
Everyone admires him.
He's so handsome it's a sin.
When things get grim
He'll take it on the chin.
If you're in jeopardy
Caused by the enemy
Don't call the cavalry.
There's a better remedy
(Although he doesn't work for free).
He's every man's trusty,
He's every woman's fantasy,
Plus he's goo-ood company.
Look out! He's Joxer...
Joxer the Mighty

As well as No quarter and Ramble on

"No Quarter"

Close the door, put out the light.
You know they won't be home tonight.
The snow falls hard and don't you know?
The winds of Thor are blowing cold.
They're wearing steel that's bright and true
They carry news that must get through.

They choose the path where no-one goes.

They hold no quarter.

Walking side by side with death, The devil mocks their every step
The snow drives back the foot that's slow, The dogs of doom are howling more
They carry news that must get through, To build a dream for me and you

They choose the path where no-one goes.

They hold no quarter. They ask no quarter.
The pain, the pain without quarter.
They ask no quarter.
The dogs of doom are howling more!

***

Leaves are falling all around, It's time I was on my way.
Thanks to you, I'm much obliged for such a pleasant stay.
But now it's time for me to go. The autumn moon lights my way.
For now I smell the rain, and with it pain, and it's headed my way.
Sometimes I grow so tired, but I know I've got one thing I got to do...

[Chorus]
Ramble On, And now's the time, the time is now, to sing my song.
I'm goin' 'round the world, I got to find my girl, on my way.
I've been this way ten years to the day, Ramble On,
Gotta find the queen of all my dreams.

Got no time to for spreadin' roots, The time has come to be gone.
And to' our health we drank a thousand times, it's time to Ramble On.

[Chorus]

Mine's a tale that can't be told, my freedom I hold dear.
How years ago in days of old, when magic filled the air.
T'was in the darkest depths of Mordor, I met a girl so fair.
But Gollum, and the evil one crept up and slipped away with her, her, her....yeah.

[Chorus]

Gonna ramble on, sing my song. Gotta keep-a-searchin' for my baby...
Gonna work my way, round the world. I can't stop this feelin' in my heart
Gotta keep searchin' for my baby. I can't find my bluebird!

The Touch ... by the guy who kinda sounds like Sammy Hagar

Peter Gabriel?

I Have the Touch

The time I like is the rush hour, cos I like the rush
The pushing of the people - I like it all so much
Such a mass of motion - do not know where it goes
I move with the movement and ... I have the touch

I'm waiting for ignition, I'm looking for a spark
Any chance collision and I light up in the dark
There you stand before me, all that fur and all that hair
Oh, do I dare ... I have the touch

Wanting contact
I'm wanting contact
I'm wanting contact with you
Shake those hands, shake those hands
Give me the thing I understand
Shake those hands, shake those hands
Shake those hands, shake those hands

Any social occasion, it's hello, how do you do
All those introductions, I never miss my cue
So before a question, so before a doubt
My hand moves out and ... I have the touch

Wanting contact
I'm wanting contact
I'm wanting contact with you
Shake those hands, shake those hands
Give me the thing I understand
Shake those hands, shake those hands

Pull my chin, stroke my hair, scratch my nose, hug my knees
Try drink, food, cigarette, tension will not ease
I tap my fingers, fold my arms, breathe in deep, cross my legs
Shrug my shoulders, stretch my back - but nothing seems
to please

I need contact
I need contact
Nothing seems to please
I need contact

Thanks guys!

The Immigrant Song and No Quarter is actually what got me thinking about this.

Forgot about B.O.C., I need a smack.

And Joxer the Mighty, man oh man, we are going to have fun with this.

This one Kobold sounded like a dog
And Meepo was his name-o.
M E-E-P-O
M-E-E-P-O
M-E-E-P-O
And Meepo was his name-o!
He lived in a citadel without sun
And Meepo was his name-o!
*clap!*E-E-P-O!
*clap!*E-E-PO!
*clap!*E-E-PO! And Meepo was his name-o!
He watched over their kalkryx
And Meepo was his name-o!
*clap!**clap*-E-PO!
*clap!**clap*-E-PO!
*clap!**clap*-E-PO!
And Meepo was his name-o!

You get the idea.

nope, ... from The Transformers Movie ...

You've got the touch, you've the power

when all hell is breaking loose you're the calm in the eye of the storm ...

*wolf sings badly, very very very badly*

Some Queen would de nicely for a singing sword.

During combat with lots of baddies:
And another one gone and another one gone, and another one bites the dust.

After combat: We are the champions.

Before the fight with the BBEG: Who wants to life forever.

sword songs

Manowar has many fitting songs. Unfortunately, their site does not allow for the lyrics to be copied. Anyhow, www.manowar.com is the site, and under Chronicles, go through the albums looking for the songs Battle Hymn, Secret of Steel, Gates of Valhalla, Hatred, Blood of My Enemies, Kill with Power, Sign of the Hammer, Carry On, Defender, Holy War, Black Wind, Fire, and Steel, Heart of Steel, Hail and Kill, Ride the Dragon, Power of Thy Sword, Call to Arms, Swords in the Wind, Hand of Doom, Fight Until We Die.

After rereading these lyrics, it occurs to me that your singing sword is likely a divine tool of Odin, or maybe just the Norse pantheon. Some of these songs would be fitting as battle hymns sung by warpriests, methinks. A fun PC to play, provided the player can sing…

Enjoy.
