Hello Everyone,
Before I introduce myself I'd like to be very clear that this is not a spam of the EN World forums in an attempt to raise the profile of our Kickstarter project. Core to our project is the concept that the community should be at the heart of what we do and I could think of no better place to come to than the EN World forums.
So perhaps I can talk about what we're doing?
Several weeks ago we launched a new project via Kickstarter. It's a scary thing to put yourself out there with something you believe in and to say my team and I are feeling exposed at the moment would be a massive understatement. However we want to get your opinion on our project and for you to share your thoughts about it.

What is Lysis?
"I like to come up here, to the highest spire in The Blade, to look down upon this great sprawling city-state with its infinite complexity and vibrant colours and textures. I feel honoured to hear the chaotic, boundless music of life played out upon the cobblestones of the streets below... It reminds me that the path I chose to dedicate myself to Odela is the path that leads me closer to understanding how all men live in the shadow of the Gods and how all things are connected.
If I took a rock and hurled it down towards the myriad of alleyways, courtyards and parks below me would the man it struck truly understand where the blow came from? Would it cause him to take a different course of action in his life?
Would I dare to wield that power?"
Lysis is a world built on hundreds of years of history. Great wars have been waged in the past in the name of the Gods and Goddesses in the heavens and to this day the echoes of those wars still reverberate within the minds of the many races that call Lysis their home. It's a place of extreme cruelty and beauty, a place where callous acts of violence are committed in the name of religion and where men vie for control over each other to better their cause. It's a place where magic is used to pervert the weak and control the powerful and a place where the spectre of war is always looming on the horizon.
To give you more of a sense of the world here's a quick look at one of our player classes:
[h=1]The Renouncers[/h]
Lysis is a world where the gods don't just exist as phantoms in the heavens. They are the might of man made real and their influence can be felt across every aspect of life in the realm. Most men find themselves sworn to the service of one of the gods, either through choice or enforcement due to their place of birth or service to a particular lord.
However this is not a situation those men who call themselves the Renouncers care for. Happy to cast aside any faith in the gods these man walk a path alone from the splendor of Lysis' pantheon of gods. Organised in loose cells and clans across the land each Renouncer takes it upon himself to preach a different lesson to those that will listen. They speak of a world where free will is more important than swearing fealty to a god, where a man make of himself what he will and does not rely on the divine to guide him through his life's choices.
Aims and ambitions
Renouncers seek to challenge blind faith in all men. Where a priest of Odela has been abusing his power within a local village there will surely be a Renouncer breathing down his neck sooner or later. Should a new cult or off-shoot of a religion start in the slums of town a Renouncer will be there to ensure they are not preying upon the weak or the foolhardy.
Organisation
Although the Renouncers do not have a formal leadership structure (and certainly no figurehead leader to speak of) generally most cells and clans are centred around a respected elder who has devoted his life to the cause and converted others to his way of thinking. As such it's possible to find Renouncers across most races and they can be found in organisations across the breadth of Lysis. From undercover agents in city watches to lone wolves protecting the scattered villages in the Northern reaches they are an ever present eye that all men of faith are aware of.
Renouncers then tend to be in conflict with any member of religion that looks to enforce its will on others. They also have a complex relationship with Achenenites, both respecting them for their work in allowing people to practise their religion freely but also deeply suspicious of their ultimate goals.
