[M&M] rules question

DarkCrisis

Let her cook.
I'm cureently reading the book and am up to the feats section.

1. Rapid Strike seems much better that Ambi & 2 weapon. Maybe I m reading it worng but with Rapid (If you have a +10 attck) its say 2 +8 attacks over Ambi and @ weapon its a +8 & -2 attack. ?

2. You can take a Super Feat the same as a regular Feat? Or is there a cost differnce or what?

1. If you have a melee attack of +10...with Ambi + 2 weapon fighting you'll have two attacks at +8 each, I believe (see pg. 133). With Rapid Strike you'll have two attacks at +8 each as well, but you'll be attacking with the same weapon twice (as opposed to two different weapons).

2. I believe they cost the same as normal feats.

yes basically if with two weapon style you use two very similar attacks like 2 eb, or 2 natural weapon attacks there is very little reason to take it with rapis strike ir rapid shot except maybe that it works with both ranged and hth attacks. But if one of your weapons is a dazzle, and the other a eb, or a snare and a eb etc you can get a lot more versatility out of two weapon style.

Though personally if someone wanted to use 2 separate attacks at once with 2 weapon fighting I'd require the 1st extra attack to be an extra as opposed to a PS.

Also all these things can stack, 2 weapon+rapid shot=3 attacks at -4.

From page 42:

"Standard feats are extraordinary abilities that can be explained as training, luck, natural ability, and so forth. Super-feats are super-human abilities, beyond those of normal people. Characters with super-feats are definitely superhuman."

:)

Makes it sound as if there's no cost difference, it's just a way of telling if someone is superhuman.

feats, Super Feats and Power Stunts (which are essentialy feats for related powers) are all 2 points a piece.

The "Rapid" feats let you get an extra attack above and beyond the one you already have, so the use of things like Ambi and Multishot combine to give you to three or four more attacks with additonal penalities. It gives you the choices of spreading out more less accurate attacks compared to less, more precise attacks.
